January 2020

The first month of 2020 is already over! Though sometimes it feels as if the time is going slow for me, an entire month has already passed. Now when I am thinking, what I did this month, I can barely remember the first-half 😛

January started out quite good for me in terms of reading, but after half of the month, I became too lazy and the reading went downhill. It’s not like I was in a slump or anything, it’s just that I wasn’t in a mood to read much. I blame social media for this. I feel I have spent too much time on my phone this month than I usually do. Also, my mind was continuously drifting toward other things.

Anyways, let’s move forward and talk about what happened in my reading and personal life in January 2020.

Books Read

Though I read 10 books, most of these are quite small ones. I guess that’s okay considering I enjoyed most of these books and 5 of these were actually 5 stars.

Book of the Month

Quote of the Month

Love is an enchantress—devious and wild. It sneaks up behind you, soft and gentle and quiet, just before it slits your throat.

January Book Haul

It might surprise you but in these last few months I have actually been behaving. I only bought one book in January.

Fairyloot: Moon & Stars

January’s featured book was Woven in Moonlight by Isabel Ibañez. A lush tapestry of magic, romance and revolution, drawing inspiration from Bolivian politics and history. Fairyloot edition has an exclusive cover and artwork on the reverse of the desk jacket by author herself.

Also included was a Moon Phases Necklace by @noverantale, Starry Fairy Lights, Moon Trinket Tray, an Illuminae Star Notebook, a Dreamy Moon Pillow Case featuring an inspiring quote by Oscar Wilde and showcases art by @beckythornsdesign, a Dragon Keychain inspired by the Even the Darkest of Stars by Heather Fawcett designed by @dustandpages and it’s not extremely cute, but the stars glow in the dark, and finally these little Moon & Stars Paper Clips.

Tentative TBR for February

I am a huge mood reader and I am never able to follow my TBR. But I love making lists and always end up adding more books on my monthly TBR than I can actually read 😀 Here is my tentative TBR for February, and I am hoping to read at least 4 of these books.

That’s it for me! I hope you enjoyed reading my monthly update. I would like to hear from you too.

How was your month? Whose the new author you like? What was your best read? Any other thing you want to share?
